This policy explains what personal information Core Asbestos Services collects through this website, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. We are the data controller for the information described here.
The short version. We collect the details you give us on the quote form so we can price your job and get back to you. We use cookies to measure how our advertising performs. We do not sell your data to anyone, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in the quote form or call us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address and telephone number
- The address or postcode of the property
- Details about the work you need, including any photographs you send us
- Anything else you choose to tell us in a message
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived here. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site performs and how well our advertising works.
Why we use it
- To quote and carry out your work. We need your contact details and job details to give you a price and, if you go ahead, to complete the job. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract, or taking steps at your request before entering into one.
- To reply to enquiries. If you contact us with a question, we use your details to answer it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
- To meet legal and regulatory duties. Asbestos work carries record keeping requirements, including waste consignment documentation. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.
- To measure and improve our advertising. We use analytics and advertising cookies to see which campaigns generate genuine enquiries. Our lawful basis is consent, given through your cookie choices or browser settings.
Cookies and tracking
This page uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. These set cookies that help us understand which adverts and pages lead to enquiries. They tell us that a form was submitted or a call button was clicked, not who you are personally.
Our quote form is provided by LeadConnector (GoHighLevel), which processes your submission and passes it to us. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt out add on. Blocking these cookies will not stop you using the site or contacting us.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only where we have to:
- Our CRM and form provider (LeadConnector / GoHighLevel), which stores your enquiry so our team can respond to it
- UKAS accredited laboratories, where a sample needs analysing, using the minimum detail required
- Licensed waste carriers and disposal sites, where consignment documentation legally requires the site address
- Regulators such as the Health and Safety Executive or SEPA, where we are legally required to notify or produce records
- Google, in aggregated, non identifying form, for analytics and advertising measurement
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to two years, then deleted. Records relating to completed asbestos work are kept for longer where health and safety law requires it, which in some cases is up to 40 years for records relating to exposure. Accounting records are kept for six years in line with HMRC requirements.
Keeping it secure
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiry data is limited to the members of our team who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your data, where we are not legally required to keep it
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Transfer it to another provider
- Withdraw consent for marketing or analytics at any time
To exercise any of these, call us on 0131 510 4765 or write to us at the Edinburgh address above. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
